Honey Chocolate Chip Cookies

Secret Recipe Book Home

1 cup Honey
1 cup Crisco (slightly under 1 cup)
2 Eggs
1 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Oats
About 2 1/2 cups Flour
6 oz. Mini Chocolate Chips
 Chocolate chip cookies

Preheat oven to 325°F
Blend together honey, crisco then add in the eggs one at a time and blend until smooth.
Add one at a time while still blending: baking soda, salt & vanilla. Then blend in oats.
Hand stir in flour then chocolate chips.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake until golden brown.
(the honey makes these cookies look more golden to start so you'll have to test the baking times that work well for you and remember the cookies will get a little harder as they cool.)

Approximately 17 minutes works well for my oven and location.
